Crazy Cow 5k Race Information

$25 Adults
$15 Children (13 and under)

We will be back at Basehor City Park this year! This race takes place on city roads and there will be cars driving on the course. Please use caution when running/walking during our event.

Packet Pick Up
Packet pick up (and in-person registration) will be held at the USD 458 District Office (2008 N. 155th St.) on Thursday, September 26th from 5 – 7 p.m. Race t-shirts are available for those who have pre-registered by September 10th, but not guaranteed for Packet Pick Up and Race Day Registrants.

Race Day Registration
Registration is available on race day beginning at 6:30 a.m. Entry fee is $25/adult, $15/children (13 and under). Register at the Crazy Cow 5k table near the start/finish balloon arch! T-shirt availability not guaranteed for Race Day Registrants. Cash or check only on race day.

Race Time
Race time is 7:30 a.m. for all runners and walkers!

Race Route

We will have a NEW Crazy Cow 5k route for 2019!

Runners will begin near Basehor City Park on Leavenworth Road heading east and turn north on N 157th St. then left (west) onto Klamm St. The route then will head north on N. 157th Terrace and then east on Poplar St. Runners will turn right to head south on N. 157th St. and then left to head east on Klamm St. On 156th Street, runners will turn left to head north again all the way to Meyer Dr. At 155th Street, they will turn right (south) until Pebble Drive where they will make a right and head into the Iron Creek subdivision again. They will briefly head south again on 156th Street and dart back out to 155th Street on Pin Oak Drive. They’ll head south on 155th Street until Maple Street and make a right (to head west). On 156th Street, they’ll turn right (north) and run back up to Leavenworth Road and head back west toward Basehor City Park to the finish line!Crazy Cow 2019.png

Strollers and Pets?
Strollers/wheelchairs are permitted, but please no pets.

Weather Policy
Safety is our number one priority! If weather conditions present a threat, the Crazy Cow 5k committee, race officials and/or local police officials reserve the right to postpone or cancel the event. Unfortunately, registration fees and sponsorships cannot be refunded if unsafe weather cancels the race.

In absence of unsafe weather conditions, the Crazy Cow 5k Run/Walk will be held rain or shine. The average temperatures for late September range from a low of 56º to a high of 74º.


The top two Male and Female finishers in each division will receive gold and silver medals:

0-13 Male and Female
14-18 Male and Female
19-29 Male and Female
30-39 Male and Female
40-49 Male and Female
50-59 Male and Female
60-69 Male and Female
70-99 Male and Female
